Charlotte Area posted the largest Price increase in the South
As reported by Bizjournals on 11-21-07. The Charlotte area posted the largest price increase in the South for existing single-family homes in the third quarter. Prices rose 11 percent to $220,100 from the same period last year, according to the National Association of Realtors.
The local market was followed by the Beaumont-Port Arthur area of Texas, with a 10.2 percent gain to $129,100, and Corpus Christi, Texas, at $140,500, up 7.6 percent.
The median existing single-family home price in the South fell 3.6 percent to $180,800 in the third quarter compared with the year-ago period.
